In light of the most recent recommendations from the AAPD, the CDC and OSHA, the ADA, the Alaska Dental Society, the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services and Governor Dunleavy, we will be resuming dental services on May 4, 2020 (both routine and emergency services). We are upholding our normal standards for infection control, as well as ramping up some additional infection control measures. Your health and safety is our number one priority, and we appreciate your understanding about some new screening policies and social distancing procedures we have implemented. Please call our office to find out more about the steps we are taking to keep your family and our staff safe. Thank you for your continued support and trust in us as your dental home!

When to See aPediatric Dentist
Your child's first dental visit should be by their first tooth or first birthday, whichever comes first. At Just Kids Pediatric Dental Center we are dedicated to providing your child with the personalized, gentle dentistry that they deserve. If your child has not been to a pediatric dentist yet, give us a call today!
As pediatric dentists we have specialized training after dental school, and we are dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through the teenage years. The very young, pre-teens, and teenagers all need different approaches in dealing with their behavior, guiding their dental growth and development, and helping them avoid future dental problems. Pediatric dentists are best qualified to meet these needs.
Are We the Right Pediatric Dentist for Your Child
Choosing a pediatric dentist can be hard. We want to make sure that we are meeting and exceeding all of your child's needs. In addition to providing the best infant, child, and adolescent dentistry, we also strive to provide excellent customer service and convenience. We are the only pediatric dentist with two on-site surgery suites and recovery rooms. We are the closest pediatric dentist to JBER, and we are the first pediatric dentist off the highway when coming in from Eagle River or the valley. We have translation services for all languages, plus we have staff who speak Spanish and Hmong! If we are still not able to meet your needs, we have the complete list of Board Certified Pediatric Dentists in Anchorage on our website (See Our Services).
Pediatric dentists not only care about creating a positive experience for your child, but also setting your child up with a healthy smile for life. It is very important to maintain the health of the primary teeth. Neglected cavities can and frequently do lead to problems which affect developing permanent teeth. Primary teeth also affect the development of speech and add to an attractive appearance. While the front 4 teeth last until 6-7 years of age, the back teeth (cuspids and molars) aren’t replaced until age 10-13.
Preventive treatment includes infant lap exams, cleanings, x-rays, exams, sealants and fluoride therapy.
Restorative treatment includes fillings, crowns, pulp therapy, extractions, and limited orthodontics.
